Daliso & Maggie Sponsored by Emily

“How big is God’s love for you?!?”
“Bigger than the sky!!!!”
Each child’s arms flew open wide as they stretched upwards, reaching as if they were trying grasp the sky with their small dark hands. Then with an infectious enthusiasm they all ran towards me and simultaneously threw their arms around me encompassing me with their happy laughter. I looked down at all of the smiling faces that beamed up at me and I thought my heart would burst with the love I had for them….that’s exactly what happened…..
Hi,
My name is Emily, I’m a nursing student at Azusa Pacific University and I’m currently sponsoring two kids – Daliso and Maggie. I think you would be hard pressed to find two kids who are more beautiful! (OK, I’m slightly biased).
I’ve always been interested in sponsorship but it wasn’t until I went to Zambia this past summer that God really sparked a passion in me and I have become rather an advocate for child sponsorship. Seeing the life saving effects of sponsorship and listening first hand to the incredible stories of many orphans has made their plight an impossible one for me to forget.
As has been said before, yes, it certainly can be difficult to get the check in every month – especially since I have loans out for my college tuition – but it’s worth all of the small sacrifices because I know that this sponsorship is giving these kids an opportunity to live and to know the love of Christ as they never have before.
